Border Collies

Selective, Quality Breeding

We currently have six border collies and are lifetime members of the ABCA. Our goal is to raise and train border collies that not only excel at herding, the job they were bred to do, but also be a loyal and loving companion. Border collies are highly intelligent, very active dogs. It is as important to exercise both their minds and bodies. Our favorite statement about border collies is “You need to give a border collie a job or they will become self–employed”. We train our dogs on our sheep and cattle. They all have an excellent on-off switch, so when they are working, they are working hard, but when they are done working, they are extremely affectionate and playful. Our dogs are good with both children and other animals. We do a limited amount of breeding, so check for available puppies.

Our Border Collies

Duke

Duke, our 13-year-old male, is the sire of Dot and P.C. Sweet, and attention-loving; he enjoys playing with his Jolly Ball. Despite his gentle nature, he has strong herding talent and instinct. Raised with our four daughters, he’s great with kids and everyone. Mostly retired now, he remains a loving companion.

Anne

She is our youngest border collie and is full of energy. She enjoys herding and is gentle enough to carefully herd our lambs and pregnant ewes without causing them any stress. She often acts like she’s in charge and likes to think she runs the entire farm.

P.C.

This is P.C. He is the male that we chose to keep from our very first Duke x Lilly litter. He is big and strong, with an impressive amount of drive and determination. Despite his strength, he is a big softy when it comes to interacting with our four daughters. P.C. truly loves to run freely and work hard alongside us.

Dot

Dot, a female from Duke and Lillie's first litter, is her daddy's girl. She combines Duke's herding drive with Lillie's finer features.
